Saudi Students Compete in 67th International Mathematical Olympiad in Shanghai

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia is participating in the 67th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO 2026), being held in Shanghai, China, through July 21, with a team of six students. The students qualified under the supervision of the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) in partnership with the Ministry of Education.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the IMO consists of two examinations held over two days. Participants solve mathematical problems covering geometry, algebra, combinatorics, and number theory, requiring exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

The participation reflects the efforts of Mawhiba and the Ministry of Education to nurture gifted students and develop national talent in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
