Riyadh:Saudi teams DR7, RA2, and Rising Peaks are gearing up for the final two matchdays in the league stage of Split 1 in the Kings League MENA. With all three teams still in contention, the race for the title has become increasingly competitive. DR7 is striving to catch up with the leading teams, RA2 has made significant progress in the standings, and Rising Peaks is fighting to secure a top-seven finish.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Kings League MENA commenced its first split at Cool Arena in Riyadh on September 18. This marks the inaugural full-length season of the league, featuring ten teams from six countries, including Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, and Egypt.

The league, founded by Spanish footballer Gerard Piqué, introduces a fresh take on seven-a-side football. It is spearheaded by notable digital content creators and has garnered substantial interest from young fans globally due to its innovative format.

The competition has seen ten teams—Ultra Chmicha, Bakhira F.C., DR7, RA2, Rising Peaks, 3BS, Red Zone, Turbo, FWZ, and ABO FC—complete seven matchdays, resulting in 35 matches and 338 goals. With only two matchdays left, scheduled for October 16 and 23, teams are preparing for the upcoming knockout rounds.

On October 16, the eighth matchday will feature an all-Saudi derby with DR7 taking on Rising Peaks. RA2 will compete against 3BS in a crucial match, with both teams having identical records of three wins and four losses.

The final matchday will see DR7 play against 3BS, RA2 face off with ABO FC, and Rising Peaks conclude their league-stage efforts against Red Zone. The top team from the league stage will directly move to the semifinals, while those finishing second to seventh will advance to the quarterfinals on October 26.
