SDRPY Launches Digital Empowerment Project for 500 Yemeni Teachers

Riyadh: Supported by the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) in partnership with King Abdulaziz University, the Digital Empowerment of Yemeni Teachers project has launched activities aimed at enhancing the professional and technical efficiency of 500 male and female teachers across the governorates of Aden, Abyan, Hadhramaut, Al-Mahra, and Socotra.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the specialized program combines in-person training with video conferencing to help educators integrate modern technologies into the classroom. The training features two distinct tracks: the first focuses on artificial intelligence and specialized content generation to help teachers utilize AI tools, while the second centers on digital instructional design, enabling participants to create interactive educational content based on modern practices.

This project is part of SDRPY's broader sustainable development efforts to support Yemen's education sector, modernize learning processes, and build national human resources. Since its inception, SDRPY has implemented 287 projects and initiatives across eight vital sectors, including education, healthcare, energy, water, transportation, agriculture, fisheries, and government capacity building.
