The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) concluded its participation in the Multilateral Industrial Policy Forum (MIPF) 2024, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources in partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
The forum was held in Riyadh on October 23-24, guided by the theme ‘Making Industrial Policy Work for SDGs.’
The SFD participated in the MIPF with an informational pavilion showcasing its developmental journey since its establishment in 1974.
Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef and other dignitaries, officials, and international experts visited the pavilion, which highlighted the fund’s 50-year developmental activities and their impact on developing countries and least developed communities around the world.
Furthermore, the SFD participated in dialogue sessions and interactive discussions to showcase solutions for industrial development and its challenges, as well as the opportunities available amid industrial, digita
l, and environmental transformations.
SFD Sectoral Expertise Department Director Eng. Yasser Al-Bakri participated in a session at the MIPF highlighting the role of quality infrastructure in supporting sustainable development projects and programs of the fund.
Meanwhile, SFD Corporate Communications Department Director-General Randah Al-Hothali participated in the youth and innovation space at the forum to discuss enabling global sustainable development for future generations, highlighting the fund’s role in achieving a global impact.
