Beijing: The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) to facilitate the exchange of experiences and regulatory information. The MoU was signed by Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, Chief Executive Officer of the SFDA, and Li Li, Commissioner of the NMPA, at the NMPA headquarters. Saudi Ambassador to China, Abdulrahman Al-Harbi, was also present at the signing ceremony.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the MoU outlines specific areas of cooperation between the two organizations concerning medicines, medical devices, and cosmetics. The agreement aims to enable the exchange of regulatory information, laws, regulations, and best practices. By signing such agreements with entities at both regional and global levels, the SFDA seeks to enhance its international leadership through collaborative efforts with counterpart authorities.
