Manama, Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives has congratulated Tulia Ackson, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Tanzania, on her election as President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) for the 2024-2026 session.

Al Musallam wished her success in undertaking her duties towards achieving further progress, and to achieve IPU’s goals. He stressed that the next stage of the work of the IPU requires more efforts and continuous work to enhance cooperation and integration between parliaments of the world.

The speaker urged them to focus their contributions to achieve the goals of sustainable development.
