Teachers, Schools, Students, Affiliated to Riyadh Education Department, Manage to Collect Int’l, Regional, Local Prizes in 2022, Report Says
Riyadh Education Department, an affiliate of Riyadh Region, has, throughout the outgoing year of 2022, collected international, regional and local renowned prizes at the level of female and male teachers, schools, and female and male students, an official report issued here today said.
Spokesman of the department Ali Al-Ghamdi said that Riyadh education department has drawn a high, qualitative and exceptional profile at the global excellence map in 2022.
In this regard, he cited samples of such distinctions his department has achieved. For instance, four prizes in the distinguished teacher and student category out of nine trials at Hamdan bin Rashid prize for the global educational performance and three outstanding World Robot Olympiad (WRO) prizes including the first class of Projects category in Germany, the seventh place occupied by the department collecting five seats out of eight and two prizes of Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal for the Promising Poet.
Moreover, the department harvested seven grand international prizes at the US ISEF expo, 445 gold, silver and bronze medals at the Bebras Tasks contest, a certificate of merit at Asia and the Pacific Olympiad.
Six Saudi female and male students have passed the Arab Intellectual Test, and two female teachers shared the first class in the global experience exchanges organized by Microsoft.
At ITEX, held in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia snatched the gold, while a female teacher has also got the first position of a contest presented by the Gulf Educational office on tolerance values.
According to the report, a Saudi student won the school excellence prize of the Gulf educational office; three female and male students nominated to attend the Gulf camp for artificial intelligence use in public education; a female student won the third place in the Gulf Hackathon competition; four prizes and excellence in Jisr for Leadership; 13 female and male students honored by Princess Sita prize; a female student got the second place in the same event in her capacity as the responsible female
citizen and the procedural research prize; more than 400 winners in the Cangaro for Mathematics prize in which more than 11000 two-sex students took part in addition to 458 qualitative trials in the digital school contest; as many as 59 scientific projects have qualified for the national olympiad central exhibitions; as many as 3904 have registered themselves locally, the largest ever in the talented contest; and 17 qualitative medals scored in the second phase of the same event, the report added.
A student, affiliated to Riyadh education department, has also collected the silver medal in China-organized Global Chemistry Olympiad, another got the silver in the Swiss-held Global Physics Olympiad; two students snatched the gold and silver in Balcan Olympiad for Mathematics; a female teacher was qualified for the final assessment of Mohamed bin Zaid prize for the best teacher prize; and got a medal in European Physics Olympiad and a certificate of merit in Asia and the Pacific Olympiad for Mathematics and the Global Bebras Tasks contest; and 84 medals in APMO contest; the first place for the male students team in the Kingdom's Elite Championship for schools football league; and the third place for female team in schools league.
