The Army Chief of Staff Discusses With His French Counterpart The Development Of Iraqi Army With Modern Weapons And Equipment

The Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, visited France.

The Ministry of Defense said in a statement: “Yarallah visited France at the head of a high-level military delegation, and they were received in Paris by his French counterpart and a number of military leaders.”

The visit discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation at the military level, with regard to developing all types of the Iraqi army with modern weapons and equipment, and learning about French capabilities that serve the needs of our armed forces.

For his part, the Army Chief of Staff praised the French position towards the Iraqi government and people, especially during the liberation battles, whether on the military or humanitarian level.

The French side praised the capabilities of the Iraqi army and its efforts to defeat terrorism.
