Istanbul – British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly intends to visit Turkey, Egypt and Qatar to discuss the repercussions of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on the region and the possibility of finding a peaceful solution to the existing crisis.

The British Foreign Office said in a statement on Thursday that Cleverly will discuss, during his three-day tour, ways to prevent the expansion of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to other regions and explore the possibility of finding a peaceful solution to this conflict.

The British Foreign Office said in its statement: “This visit was planned to countries that carry great importance in terms of international efforts to maintain regional stability, release hostages, and allow humanitarian aid to reach Gaza.”

The statement quoted Cleverly as saying: “I will meet with my counterparts from countries with influence in the region to work together to achieve stability and ease tensions, ensure humanitarian aid reaches Gaza, and release the hostages.”
