The ISMEO organization has begun to maintain archaeological buildings and structures within the monuments in Hatra district, 90 km west of Mosul.
Director of Nineveh Antiquities, Khair al-Din Ahmed, told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that "ISME began to maintain archaeological buildings and structures in the city of Hatra to preserve the cultural heritage in the city of antiquities and civilization."
Ahmed added, "The Aliph organization is also now preparing to provide full support to the city of Hatra through the Iraqi side, which will prepare a long-term and phased program to clarify future actions to change the reality of the city's condition, as it is required of maintenance and restoration to prepare it to receive tourists from all over the world."
