Defense Minister Thabet Muhammad Al-Abbasi discussed with Turkish officials security and military cooperation between the two countries.

The Ministry of Defense stated in a statement: “As part of the Minister’s visit to Turkey, which will last for several days, Al-Abbasi visited the tomb of the founder of the modern Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, and placed a wreath on his grave.”

The statement explained that the Minister held a meeting at the headquarters of the Turkish Ministry of Defense during which security cooperation between the two countries was discussed.

The statement indicated a number of senior leaders and officers in the Ministry of Defense accompanied the Minister on his visit.
