Istanbul -Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg the latest developments in Gaza.

The Turkish Presidency's Communications Department stated in a statement on Saturday that the two sides discussed the latest developments in Gaza, and the steps that must be taken to reduce human rights violations and deliver humanitarian aid without interruption to innocent civilians.

The Turkish President stressed in his phone call that the positions of Western countries led to the exacerbation of human rights violations in Gaza.

He said: "Failure of countries to make efforts to stop Israel from its aggression will result in consequences that are difficult to avoid."

Erdogan added: The West and global public opinion must move as quickly as possible to put an end to the human tragedies that are occurring before our eyes and that are being ignored./End
