Three people from one family were injured in a fire that broke out in their house in the Shomali district in Babylon.

"The Civil Defense teams were able to put out the fire and rescue three people from the house who were injured in the fire," said the Director of Media for the Civil Defense, Aqeel Abdullah.

He added: "The wounded were transferred to Hilla Surgical Hospital, and an investigation was opened into the accident."
