Thunderstorms and Gusty Winds Expected Across Multiple Regions

Riyadh: Thunderstorms accompanied by hail and gusty winds are set to impact parts of Jazan, Aseer, and Al-Baha regions, extending to the highlands of the Makkah Region. According to Saudi Press Agency, thunderclouds are predicted to form over the southern parts of Eastern and Riyadh regions. Gusty, dust-stirring winds are also expected to blow across parts of Northern Borders, Qassim, Riyadh, and Najran regions, significantly reducing horizontal visibility to near zero in parts of the Eastern Region and along the coastal parts of Madinah and Makkah regions.

The weather forecast further details that winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to westerly, reaching speeds between 15-50 km/h in the southern part. These conditions will result in waves ranging from half a meter to over two meters, making the sea calm to choppy. In contrast, the Arabian Gulf will experience northwesterly to westerly winds at speeds of 20-45 km/h in the northern and central parts, and northeasterly to northwesterly winds at 10-32 km/h in the southern part, with waves ranging from half a meter to two meters, leading to relatively calm sea conditions.
