Thunderstorms and Gusty Winds to Affect Multiple Regions in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: Thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds and hail are expected to hit parts of the Jazan, Aseer, and Al-Baha regions, with potential to extend to the southern highlands of the Makkah Region. Gusty winds and blowing dust are predicted to persist in the Najran, Eastern, Riyadh, and Madinah regions, significantly reducing horizontal visibility in parts of the Makkah Region, especially along its coastal areas.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the weather over the Red Sea will see northwesterly to westerly winds at speeds ranging from 15-30 km/h in the northern part and 20-40 km/h in the central and southern parts. Wave heights are anticipated to range between half a meter to one and a half meters in the northern part, and one to two meters in the central and southern parts, with sea conditions being calm to moderate in the north and moderate elsewhere.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds are also forecasted to be northwesterly to westerly at speeds of 15-30 km/h. Wave heights will span from half a meter to one and a half meters, maintaining calm to moderate sea conditions.
