Tourism Ministry Blocks Seven Platforms for Law Violations

Riyadh:The Ministry of Tourism, in coordination with relevant authorities, has blocked seven online platforms for violating the Tourism Law. These platforms were offering travel and tourism services, including domestic Umrah packages and tourist excursions, without adhering to regulatory requirements.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the blocking of these platforms is part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to eliminate irregular practices in tourism activities. This initiative aims to protect the rights of tourists and Umrah performers and shield them from fraudulent services that fail to meet quality standards.

Ministry of Tourism Spokesperson Nasr Al-Ansari stated that the ministry remains vigilant in monitoring violations across various tourism activities, including online travel platforms, and takes legal action against offenders. He stressed that ensuring the safety of tourists and Umrah performers, protecting their rights, and maintaining high service standards are top priorities.

The ministry advised tourists and Umrah performers to engage only with licensed platforms and authorized travel and tourism offices to secure their rights and guarantee the quality of services.
