Towering Al-Ashyakh Sand Dunes Boost Ecotourism in Rafha


Located 130 kilometers southwest of rafha:shyakh dunes feature the highest sand peak in Al-Dahna Desert at 779 meters above sea level. Situated where Al-Dahna and Al-Nafud Al-Kabir deserts meet, the site is renowned for its wind-sculpted, interconnected dunes and alternating red and golden sands.



According to Saudi Press Agency, Antiquities Association member Abdulrahman Al-Tuwaijri notes that the area’s distinct geomorphology and desert vegetation make it a top destination for photographers and travel enthusiasts during milder seasons, boosting the region’s ecotourism profile.
