Tunisian Media Reacts to Saudi Arabia’s Host of FIFA World Cup 2034

Riyadh: Tunisian media and sports outlets have reacted with enthusiasm to Saudi Arabia’s successful bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup. The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) announced that Saudi Arabia is set to make history as the first country to host a World Cup featuring 48 national teams, to be held in five cities, following the federation’s approval of the tournament’s new format.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Tunisian journalists and media outlets emphasized that the Kingdom’s victory in hosting the world’s largest football tournament marks a significant day for Arab football. They highlighted that this accomplishment could lead to more Arab-led international events in the future.

Reports also noted that the anticipated event will take place in 15 stadiums across five cities. Several Tunisian sports analysts remarked that December 11, 2024, the date of the announcement, will be a memorable day for both Saudis and Arabs. They pointed out that Saudi Arabia has joined the rank
