Tuwaiq Academy, Misk Schools Celebrate Winning Students in World Robot Olympiad

Tuwaiq Academy celebrated on Tuesday the victory of its students, in partnership with Misk Schools, in the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) qualifiers at the Ministry of Education in Riyadh. The WRO qualifiers are held annually to support innovations in robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. Students of the academy and Misk Schools won first place at the Kingdom level and qualified for the global competition in Trkiye. Students Al-Jawhara Al-Qahtani and Aseel Al-Jasser won first place in the Future Engineers category at the Kingdom level, which focuses on making and programming an AI robot with self-driving technologies. Abdulaziz Al-Hussaini and Abdulaziz Al-Najidi won third place in the same category. Students Shihana Al-Sahafi and Tala Al-Hazmi won second place in the Future Innovators category, qualifying the teams to represent the Kingdom in the global competition next November under the rubric 'Earth Allies,' which aims to harness modern technologies to produce creative solutions for redu cing the damages of natural disasters and explore green alternatives for daily life products. The academy's participation in partnership with Misk Schools emanates from its vision to empower technical capabilities and achieve advanced positions in various global competitions. These accomplishments follow the academy's achievement last May when its students won nine gold medals, a silver medal, and 11 special awards in the International Invention, Innovation and Technology Competition and Exhibition (ITEX) held in Malaysia.
