Riyadh: On the 16th night of the Saudi Falcons Club Auction 2024, held at the club’s headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, two falcons were sold for a total of SAR196,000. The auction continues until November 15.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the first falcon was a young Shaheen from Sakaka, in Al-Jouf, with bidding starting at SAR40,000 and concluding at SAR121,000. The night concluded with the sale of the second falcon, another young Shaheen, from Al-Mastourah, fetching SAR75,000.
The Saudi Falcons Club provides comprehensive services for falconers throughout the auction season. The club’s teams in various regions, including the Eastern, Northern, Northwestern, and Southwestern areas, assist falcon owners by arranging accommodations and transportation to the auction site. Each falcon is showcased in a fast-paced live auction, broadcast on television and via the club’s social-media platforms.
The auction is classified as the largest official falcon auction in the Kingdom, promoting the cultural, his
torical, and economic heritage of Saudi Arabia. It aligns with the country’s Vision 2030, which supports activities related to the falconry hobby.
