UPM Hosts International Conference on Technology and Engineering Innovation

Madinah:The University of Prince Mugrin (UPM) has commenced the First International Conference on Technology and Engineering Innovation for Sustainability (SusTAIN 2026) in Madinah. The event is held under the patronage of the Governor of Madinah Region, Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, and operates under the theme "Innovation Today... Sustaining Tomorrow."

According to Saudi Press Agency, the conference gathers researchers, engineers, academics, and innovators from the Kingdom and beyond. Its agenda includes a scientific and applied program with six specialized workshops, innovation events, scientific project presentations, an exhibition, and research poster sessions. These activities focus on applications of emerging technologies and engineering in various fields such as cybersecurity, smart cities, artificial intelligence (AI), energy and mineral resources, smart mobility, automation, and sustainable structural engineering.

The program features concurrent workshops on a range of topics, including securing smart cities and facilities through multi-agent AI, AI-assisted analog integrated circuit design, and AI and machine learning applications in mineral resources and sustainable energy. Additionally, it covers smart mobility for sustainable cities, resource-efficient AI automation, the diagnosis of reinforced concrete damage and degradation mechanisms, and sustainable engineering solutions.
