ZATCA Thwarts Attempt to Smuggle over 1.9 Million Amphetamine Pills at Al-Haditha Port

Al-haditha: The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) at Al-Haditha Port has foiled an attempt to smuggle 1,950,581 amphetamine pills into the Kingdom.

According to Saudi Press Agency, ZATCA spokesperson Hamoud Al-Harbi stated that security screening and inspection discovered the contraband concealed inside a shipment of lentils aboard an incoming truck.

Al-Harbi emphasized that the authority remains committed to tightening customs control across all land, sea, and air ports to protect society from narcotics, in close coordination with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control.

He urged the public to support anti-smuggling efforts by reporting suspicious activities through the designated security hotline 1910, email [email protected], or international number 009661910. Reports are handled with strict confidentiality, and financial rewards are granted for confirmed tips.
