Riyadh: Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi General Authority of Foreign Trade Majid Al-Kassabi participated today in the 71st extraordinary virtual meeting of the GCC Commercial Cooperation Committee. The meeting was attended by GCC Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi and the ministers of commerce and industry of the GCC member states.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministers reviewed the decisions of the 19th consultative meeting of the leaders of the GCC member states. They also reviewed the steps taken by the GCC General Secretariat to prepare a study aimed at further enhancing Gulf integration in strategic sectors.

Al-Kassabi stressed the importance of strengthening GCC integration through the strategic projects discussed during the meeting. He said the projects are intended to address challenges affecting the smooth flow of supply chains.
