Makkah: The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) revealed the telecom indicators in Makkah and the holy sites on the Eighth day of Dhu Al-Hijjah, where the total of voice calls reached 21.3 million, including 18.6 million local calls and 2.7 million international calls.
According to Saudi Press Agency, statistics showed that mobile internet speed was 404 Mbit/s, while the daily average of data consumption per capita reached 1326 MB/person, exceeding twice the global consumption.
The ICT sector is fulfilling the high consumption capacity with the finest quality standards, which is in line with the leadership's aspirations by providing high download speed through its technical preparations and human cadres, as well as facilitating the pilgrims' local and international calls to ensure a smooth Hajj.
