Riyadh: The health system has delivered more than 182,698 health services to pilgrims since the start of the 1447 AH Hajj season through the third day of Dhu Al-Hijjah, as part of integrated efforts aimed at enhancing the quality of health services to safeguard pilgrims' wellbeing. This aligns with the targets of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrims Experience Program, both stemming from Saudi Vision 2030, to enable pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and comfort.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Ministry of Health data revealed that the total number of beneficiaries of healthcare centers and urgent care services reached 32,772, while emergency departments received 20,825 cases, outpatient clinics were visited by 2,868 beneficiaries, and 2,887 cases were hospitalized.
A total of 190 surgical procedures were performed, including 135 cardiac catheterization procedures and seven open-heart surgeries.
Medical teams responded immediately to 12 cases of heat exhaustion and heatstroke, as part of a field system operating to ensure rapid response and enhanced medical intervention efficiency across various locations, while more than 12,627 calls were received through the unified call center 937.
The health system continues to operate with high efficiency, relying on proactive plans and a comprehensive, high-quality health services framework, ensuring the delivery of advanced and safe medical care to pilgrims and reflecting its ongoing commitment to providing the highest levels of care during the Hajj season.
