Journal of Taibah University for Science Advances to 34th Globally in Basic Sciences

Medina: The Journal of Taibah University for Science has strengthened its international research presence after advancing to 34th globally among 140 journals specializing in basic sciences, earning a Q1 classification that places it among the top 25% of scientific journals worldwide, and achieving an impact factor of 3.6.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the journal is a peer-reviewed scientific publication by the university since 2008. It specializes in publishing research in basic sciences, including chemistry, physics, mathematics, biology, geology, and environmental sciences.

The journal follows an open-access policy, and the research it publishes undergoes rigorous scientific peer review in line with international standards. This has helped strengthen its standing among specialized scientific journals and attract high-quality research from around the world.

The achievement is part of the university's efforts to support the scientific research ecosystem, improve the quality of its research outputs, and strengthen its academic and research presence internationally, in line with Saudi Vision 2030's goals to build a knowledge-based economy driven by innovation and scientific excellence.
