The National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) is participating in the second edition of the 2024 Multilateral Industrial Policy Forum (MIPF), organized by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources in cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
The forum aims to enhance partnerships with UNIDO and its programs, contributing to the development of innovative industrial policies and solutions that support industrial growth at regional and global levels. The agenda includes a ministerial roundtable attended by several ministers and global leaders in industrial transformation, where they will discuss industrial policies, challenges, and proposed solutions. Panel discussions will also focus on ways to integrate clean energy sources into industry.
The forum will highlight best global practices to enhance supply chain resilience, adaptability to changes, and the exploration of the latest digital manufacturing technologies, including artificial intelligenc
e.
This event is being held in Riyadh for the first time outside of UNIDO’s headquarters in Vienna, on Wednesday and Thursday under the theme “Making Industrial Policy Work for SDGs.” Around 3,000 industry leaders, decision-makers, CEOs, specialists from the industrial sector, and those interested in industrial policy development are expected to attend.
MIPF presents an opportunity to showcase Saudi Arabia’s achievements in the industrial sector through an accompanying exhibition, where initiatives and efforts to localize promising industries will be displayed. It also underscores the distinctive investment opportunities available in the sector. The forum aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Industrial Strategy, supporting the competitiveness of the industrial sector while promoting innovation and creativity.
