Pilgrims Converge on Mina in Spiritual Atmosphere for Day of Tarwiyah

Mina: Pilgrims began flocking to Mina on the eighth of Dhu Al-Hijjah, 1447 AH, to spend the Day of Tarwiyah, advancing in a spiritual atmosphere filled with talbiyah, praise, and takbir, following the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

According to Saudi Press Agency, all pilgrims remain in Mina until sunrise on the ninth of Dhu Al-Hijjah, before heading to Arafat. After observing the rituals in Arafat, they return to Mina after overnighting in Muzdalifah to spend the days of Tashreeq and perform the stoning of the three Jamarat.

The Mina holy site, located between Makkah and Muzdalifah, is positioned seven kilometers northeast of the Grand Mosque. This area, surrounded by mountains on its northern and southern sides, is inhabited solely during the Hajj season for the purpose of these sacred rituals.

To ensure a smooth and serene experience for the pilgrims, the Kingdom has mobilized all necessary services, encompassing security, medical, catering, and transportation facilities. These arrangements are aimed at helping pilgrims perform their rituals in comfort and tranquility.
