Saudi Minister of Human Resources Affirms Saudi Arabia’s Role in Supporting and strengthening Arab Social, Development Work

The Saudi Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Eng. Ahmad bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, during his participation today in the 42nd meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, held in Qatar’s Doha, affirmed Saudi Arabia’s role in supporting and strengthening joint Arab action with regard to social development to implement qualitative plans and programs and ensure their sustainability for the benefit of Arab countries and peoples.

Al-Rajhi said: The Kingdom's presidency of the 41st session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs witnessed many activities and programs to contain the repercussions and impacts of the Coronavirus pandemic on Arab development action.

He added Saudi Vision 2030 contributed to facilitating the access of persons with disabilities to work environments, their independence and full adaptation to perform their tasks, through the "Mowaamah certificate" system, which offers a proof that the tasks and nature of the job occupied by the person with a disability are compatible with type and degree of his/her disability, as well as providing workplace conditions and assistive services.

He noted that further cooperation to advance Arab social development is required for the next stage through a vision based on the achievements made by member states and lessons learned from difficulties and challenges, leading to support for joint Arab social development work.
