Tourism Ministry Signs MoUs with Global Hotel Brands to Launch ‘Hospitality Ambassadors’ Program

Damascus: The Ministry of Tourism today signed several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with a number of leading global hotel brands to launch the 'Hospitality Ambassadors' program. The initiative is designed to develop national talent within the hospitality sector through overseas on-the-job training (OJT) at international hotels, ultimately elevating the quality of services across the Kingdom's tourism sector.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the program stems from the ministry's strategic objectives to build a sustainable and globally competitive tourism ecosystem. It focuses primarily on an on-the-job training model in partnership with premier global hotels, enabling national cadres to acquire the professional, leadership, and operational skills necessary to drive the future of the tourism sector.

The program carries a profound cultural significance rooted in the Kingdom's deeply ingrained values of generosity and hospitality. Through this initiative, the ministry aims to leverage these traditional values as a professional competitive advantage in the hospitality market. This allows Saudi talent to seamlessly merge authentic Saudi hospitality with international best practices, thereby elevating the global presence of Saudi hospitality in alignment with the Kingdom's status as a premier global tourism destination.

As part of the ministry's broader training and development efforts, the 'Hospitality Ambassadors' program is the latest in a series of impactful initiatives launched by the Ministry of Tourism to empower national talent, alongside programs such as the Executive Master's Program. Since 2020, the ministry has provided more than 700,000 training opportunities for professionals within the sector, directly supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to develop human capabilities and enhance the quality of tourism services.
