Two Saudi Referees Named to Arab Officiating Team for England-DR Congo Match at FIFA World Cup 2026

Riyadh: The F©d©ration Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has appointed an Arab refereeing team to officiate the Round of 32 match between England and DR Congo at the FIFA World Cup 2026. The refereeing team will be led by Jordanian referee Adham Makhadmeh, assisted by fellow Jordanians Mohammad Bakar and Ahmad Al-Roalle. Saudi referee Khalid Al-Turais will serve as the fourth official, while Saudi referee Mohammed Al-Abakry will act as the reserve assistant referee.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the match is part of the Round of 32. The England national football team advanced as the winner of Group L with seven points, while the DR Congo national football team reached the knockout stage for the first time in its history after qualifying as one of the best third-placed teams.
