Makkah: President of the Saudi Water Authority, Engineer Abdullah Al-Abdulkareem, conducted a field inspection of the water ecosystem's performance in Makkah and the holy sites, aligning with the arrival of pilgrims for the 1447 AH Hajj season and their movement towards these sacred locations.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the visit was part of ongoing field tours aimed at monitoring operations to ensure the reliability of water supply and the continuity of services provided to pilgrims during this peak season. The president reviewed the performance of production, transmission, storage, and distribution systems, focusing on operational indicators related to the Shuaibah production system and the water transmission network between Shuaibah and Makkah.
Additionally, the president monitored the efficiency of networks in the holy sites, overseeing pumping and distribution operations. He also evaluated the integration and coordination among various sectors of the water ecosystem, including public and private sector partners, to ensure a sustainable water supply and uninterrupted service in areas with high density.
The tour included visits to several camps and healthcare facilities in the holy sites. During these visits, he assessed the level of services provided to pilgrims and the efforts of entities operating within the water ecosystem. These efforts are aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and improving responsiveness to field developments, supporting uninterrupted supply and maintaining service reliability throughout the Hajj season.
